At Bloxwich we supply loose kits of door gear parts to customers who prefer to assemble and weld them to their exact sizes and finish or paint them afterwards.

We also manufacture fully welded and finished mild steel and stainless-steel door locking gear for trucks, containers and any other applications using lockrods.

Our current production includes mild steel and stainless-steel Ø22, 27 & 34mm models, supplied to many UK truck and trailer manufacturers, as well as several European and US customers.

With the DX Freight now a courier option in the UK, we can economically deliver both large production orders and smaller repair or replacement quantities.

We operate three dedicated, fully jigged, TIG & MIG welding bays and have over over six decades of experience manufacturing locking gear. Quotations are available on request.

Jig Design & Manufacture

Transporting fully welded lockrods internationally can be challenging depending on length and quantity. For this reason, some customers prefer to purchase loose kits.

We can also design and manufacture production jigs, allowing customers to set up their own lockrod welding and assembly processes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Can Fully Welded Lockrods Be Made if the Final Length is Not Yet Known?

For this reason, top cam loose (TCL) models can be created. Allowing customers to cut the tube to length, with the top cam welded on afterwards. For mild steel, the weld area should be painted or galvanised to prevent corrosion. Example B2000MNTCL 27mm Door Locking Gear Top Cam Loose

Another option is Variheight (V), available on Ø27mm mild steel and stainless-steel models. The handle height is set at 335mm with lower and upper rod assemblies supplied and all other parts supplied loose. Final cam centres are controlled by reducing the length of upper rod assembly tube.
