Jig Design & Manufacture Available
Transporting fully welded lockrods internationally can be tricky and expensive depending on the length and quantity. For this reason some customers prefer to buy loose kits of parts.
However Bloxwich can help by designing or manufacturing jigs, enabling customers to suitably set up their own lock rod production lines.
FAQ’s
How Can I Get Fully Welded Door Locking Gear If I Don’t Not Know Its Final Length?
For this reason, top cam loose (TCL) models can be created. Allowing customers to cut the tube to the length required and then to weld on the top cam. For mild steel this option requires the weld to be painted or galv sprayed afterwards to prevent corrosion. See example B2000MNTCL 27mm Door Locking Gear Top Cam Loose
Another option is variheight (V). It’s available on Ø27mm mild steel and stainless-steel models and has the handle set at 335mm. Lower rod assemblies and upper rod assemblies are supplied with other parts supplied loose. Cam centres are controlled by customers by simply reducing the length of upper rod assembly tube. See example B2000MNV 27mm Door Locking Gear
Do I Need to Use a Lockrod Chart for Every Order?
No, if you are buying the same lock rod(s) again, a lock rod chart (LRC) is only required to confirm the dimensions on the first order.
How Do I fill In a Lockrod Chart?
See BCP_1019_KBA How to Measure & Complete a Door Gear Lockrod Chart for guidance.
