Jig Design & Manufacture
Transporting fully welded lockrods internationally can be challenging depending on length and quantity. For this reason, some customers prefer to purchase loose kits.
We can also design and manufacture production jigs, allowing customers to set up their own lockrod welding and assembly processes.
Frequently Asked Questions
How Can Fully Welded Lockrods Be Made if the Final Length is Not Yet Known?
For this reason, top cam loose (TCL) models can be created. Allowing customers to cut the tube to length, with the top cam welded on afterwards. For mild steel, the weld area should be painted or galvanised to prevent corrosion. Example B2000MNTCL 27mm Door Locking Gear Top Cam Loose
Another option is Variheight (V), available on Ø27mm mild steel and stainless-steel models. The handle height is set at 335mm with lower and upper rod assemblies supplied and all other parts supplied loose. Final cam centres are controlled by reducing the length of upper rod assembly tube. Example B2000MNV 27mm Door Locking Gear
